Barone appeared in the fourth-season Seinfeld Episode The Shoes as Gail Cunningham a chef who wanted Elaine Benes shoes. Barone was one of the cast members of Carol & Company, starring as Carol Burnett in the early 90s. Barone was also Carol Willick Ross Geller's husband in Friends' first ever appearance. Jane Sibbett was her replacement after Barone left Friends for a job that demanded additional time. She was on The Jeff Foxworthy Show for the first season (1995-1996) as well as in The War at Home between 2005 to the year 2007. Barone costarred in Daddio (2000).
