Gerina Stevenson was born to Mexican parents Rita Stevenson (mother) and Alan Stevenson (father). She is of Mexican-American heritage and is American through the nationality. Her entire life has been a fan of sports. Gerina began golfing when she was fifteen years old. Gerina was a student at Goddard High School. While she was in the high school level, she was able to win the New Mexico state golf tournament. She also had her volleyball skills acknowledged at the national scale.
